Sage Parnassus has a new home at sageparnassus.com! Come on in, take a look around, and rest a while. Everything is still here, just in a new format.* What do you think? I hope you like it.
To celebrate this move, I am having a giveaway! You can enter to win the PNEU student badge with the motto, “I am, I can, I ought, I will”. I will randomly choose the winners in one week so let your friends know, too. You can enter two ways – either by subscribing to Nancy’s Notes or by commenting on this post and telling me what you like about the new site or sharing a suggestion. (You can enter both places!) I would love it if you let your friends know, too!
The blog posts are now categorized in a more user-friendly format. Hopefully, I have made it easier for you to contact me, in addition to giving you the opportunity to sign up for Living Education Lessons notices, Living Education Retreat announcements, or to explore my private mentoring services. You might even find little gems hidden here and there if you look closely. I have plans to add many more things to help you with a living education!
Sharing about the Charlotte Mason philosophy has always been my passion, my heart, my one thing. Please enjoy reading through all the posts. I’ll admit, I loved going through everything and revisting all my friends. The posts really do chronicle my family’s journey with Charlotte Mason at every stage – from preschool to college.
Teaching from peace,
Nancy
*Yes, I know there are still some formatting issues, especially with older posts. Do let me know if there is something extremely amiss!
CONGRATULATIONS to Rebekah Dawson and Beth Ann Boyd – winners of the student badges!
Is the badge available for purchase?
Not at this time! Watch Riverbend Press to see if they come back in stock.
Nancy! I just understood the new logo — L’Umile Pianta!!!
Yes! That’s exactly it, Lovejoy!
Warmly,
Nancy
Everything looks so clean and fresh!
I always enjoy reading your blog and come away with some tidbit. I love your tags and categories as it makes searching for particular help very easy!
Beautiful….encouraging…helpful…inspiring.
Grateful.
There’s something beautiful about you, Nancy and it shows through on your blog. Peace.
The order and life giving posts are so helpful. I can’t wait to follow along and read more!
I’ve only been following your blog for a few months, but the update is lovely and serene. The layout is inviting and very user-friendly. Since meeting you at CMER in Colorado last weekend, I can see that the website so beautifully fits who you are as a person. I am looking forward to spending more time on the website and continuing my living education and sharing that with my children.
I think the blog looks great! It is simple and easy to find what you need!
A beautiful new look! I love the clear and peaceful tone of the colorway and design.
OH my goodness! What a change! It’s beautiful! I love all the easy to find tabs along the right side of the page. Very user friendly. Thank you for all the time you put into helping so many parents in providing a living education for their children!
It’s lovely, Nancy. Congratulations! 🙂 It’s very restful place to visit.
It’s beautiful. I love the colors and the fonts. ?
I agree with everything everyone else has said. And I do really appreciate how much more user friendly it is. It’s so much easier to see and navigate all of the opportunities for growing into this method that you are a part of. Thank you!
It’s beautifully simple! What a refreshing, restful site you have created, Nancy. I love how easy it is to go to a category. I look forward to exploring!
I think the site looks great! Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us!
Your site is lovely! I love the colors and every single font! It’s a very clean and polished look. Well done, Nancy!
Oops! My previous comment was supposed to have an exclamation point at the end of the last sentence instead of a @…I hit the wrong key. 🙁
And the next to the last sentence needs a question mark! 🙂
What a lovely new website/blog site, Nancy! Thank you for the time you take to have this spot so we can visit and learn more from your wealth of wisdom about Charlotte Mason’s education philosophy, and well, her philosophy for life, for living! I have to continue exploring so I can find all your gems. I have not yet located your list of favorite CM links and resources. I love referring to that list because you are so good at sending CM moms to the best places and resources. If you have the time would you mind letting me know where to find that list of links/resources because I know you said everything is still here, just a new look. Anyway, how beautiful (but your site has always been so lovely)@
Thank you, Sheila! I will eventually get those links and things up on the “How to Begin” tab under “Favorites”. That is actually the only page that is unfinished right now. After my speaking in Baltimore next week, I plan to devote more time to it.
Sounds great, Nancy! Have a fantastic time in Baltimore!
Yes it is much easier to maneuver with my phone.
The new website is lovely!
Looks beautiful! Love the new look
I really like the look of the site! I am excited to go clicking away and searching it all out!
Your new site is lovely! I particularly like the Favorites section and how easily I can look at each topic. It was a good reminder of resources as I head into Year 4 with my daighter!
Nancy,
I loved your blog before the remodel and it is even more calming now. It also seems easier to navigate. It is wonderful to have a place to go for direction when I feel overwhelmed.
Tara
Lovely new site Nancy. Looking forward to staying connected via your blog and website. We met at the CM West Conference in Seattle. I am new to CM and hearing from you at the conference was so inspiring. Thanks for your work.
I love that you made it possible to browse by category! I have not had a chance to explore further, but look forward to doing so. It was a pleasure to cross your path again in CO. May you have another unforgettable adventure at Ambleside this year!
What a beauty of a site! I”m sure it’s the product of so much labor, but it has such a restful ambiance to it, and I love how it reflects (what you’ve mentioned about) your brick-and-mortar house!
It sure was a lot of work, Lila, but worth it, I think. Thank you for your comments!
It’s just beautiful! I love all the thoughtful details on the new site, that connect back to Miss Mason. I also think the ‘favorites’ tab and search box will be very helpful. It looks great!
I appreciate your comments, Katie!
I love the “look and feel” of this site. Of course, I loved the way it used to be also. This just seems so fresh and clean in comparison. Well done!
Thank you, Heather!
The new site looks open and welcoming – like a home should be. Can’t wait to dig in further once my kiddos are healthy.
Oh, my, yes – get well soon!
It is beautiful! Thanks for all the work you do and share. It is relevant and encouraging!

Your website is beautiful. It feels like a mini retreat. Such great organization and peaceful design.
I appreciate your comment so much! Thank you, Susan.
Your new blog is so beautiful!!! It seems more like I’m flipping through the pages of your journal that you have kept over the years rather than clicking through the posts of your blog. Peace ~ Beauty ~ Truth ~ Goodness
I love the way you describe my posts! Thank you!
It is lovely! I’m finding it so much easier to navigate. Thanks for all you do!

(Not sure why it’s in all caps…?)
I know how much work goes into a website overhaul—enjoy the fruits of your labors!
Thank you, Betsy! The all caps issue has been resolved!
Thank you so much for all of The work you have put into this! What a blessing you are.
Thank you, Rhebeka!
NanCy, Simple and beautifUl, as always!! I love The new look., Though I’m having the all-caps issuE as well; be assured, i’m Not typing that WaY intentionally. I can’t wait to explore the new site deeply! I’ve missed meeting with you regularly fOr LEL and can’t wait to participate in another season— hopefully Very soon. Blessings!!
Indeed, I am trying to solve that little issue of all caps. I miss you, too! Yes, I hope to get a new season up and running this spring.
It’s beautuful Nancy! Congratulations! I’m browsing around on the blog with my phone and it seems very easy to navigate through. I agree with what others have said, it has a very reFreshing and peaceful feel to it.
Thank you, Heather! That means a lot to me!
Congrats! I know it took a lot of hard work to get this up and running. Looks good!
Yes, much more work than I expected! Thank you!
aloha Nancy,
Love the new cleaner look–less cluttered and the colors are soothing! I look forward to spending many happy hours here gleaning from you!
Jennifer
Thank you, Jennifer!
Looking good, Nancy! I’m on the mobile version and I love the placement of the navigation menu — very accessible and easy to spot.
However, now that I’m typing this comment (again, on my phone), I can see it is typing it all in capitals. I’m not sure if it will stay that way when it posts (I hope not!). But it’s very…well, honestly, it’s annoying, lol. It makes me feel like I’m yelling at you, which of course I’m not, plus it detracts from the calming quality of the rest of the interface. This seems to be unique to your site as I’ve never had this happen elsewhere.
But otherwise, I love it!
(And in case this does post in all caps, let it be known that I did not type it that way. Ha!)
Thanks, Stacey! Yes, I need to figure out that little bug. I agree, it’s annoying. But no, it doesn’t show up that way.
I’ve been following your blog for about a year now. I love the changes! It is lovely to look at, and infused with more personality. I so love hearing all about your homeschool name, and the symbol and motto you use. We’re still trying to come up with our own 🙂 looking forward to revisiting your blog posts!
I love your observation – “infused with more personality”! Thank you!
Hi, Nancy! What a great new look for your blog. I like thAt I can scroll through the home page quickly to see if I’ve missed any posts. IT Seems quite simple to navigate, so I’m looking forward to digging through your older posts! Thanks so much for sharing the wisdom you’ve gained over your years of experience with CharlottE Mason education so generously with all of your readers.
Thanks so much, Lovejoy!
I love how simple and clean the new site is. I love how easy it is to read old posts by topic.
Thank you, Ashley!
Lovely! It all looks so calm and inviting! Did you Do the watercolour of the reeds?
I wish! No, the talented Lauren pace made it for me.
Dearest Nancy,
The remodeling is beautiful, and very intuitive. Love it. It feels organized and accessible – and like it’s always been like this or should have been like this. (Because I already don’t remember what it was like yesterday.) I look forward to perusing all of your links and visiting often. ❤️
Thank you, Amy! That’s the best compliment!
I am excited to browse all the categories –> that will make it easier to search for a specific CM topic!
I’ve clicked on a few, like “Narration” and I’m assuming that the newer, more recent blog posts come up first, then the older ones are last. I think it would be helpful to have the date stamped at the top of the blog post.
Yes, Alana, the latest posts will always show up first! Great suggestion, too.
Hi Nancy, love the new look. Been following the old bl9g for a while. Thanks for SUch wonderful contributions to the CM community.
You are too sweet, Allison! Thank you.
Looks great! I love how you’ve categorized things- it will definitely be easier to find past posts now! 🙂
So glad you like it, katrina!
Wonderful new home, Nancy! Congrats on the remodel! 😉 Bless you in all your endeavors. Thank you so much for continuing to share your wisdom about Charlotte Mason. <3
Thanks, Amy! Right back at you, too!
Nancy, this all looks beautiful! Peaceful is the word that comes to mind.
Perfect! That was what I was aiming for. Thank you!
Hi Nancy! I am a new blog reader so can’t make any Comparisons, but I think this is an absolutely beautiful Site! We met this weekend at the CMER in Colorado and you were so inspiring and helpful Both spiritually and practicLly. I look forward to catching up on old posts and reading more of your wisdom.
Thank you, Andrea! It was great meeting you, too. Colorado is a beautiful place!
